September Steps
I've always wanted Hobbes to be more than a nutrition app. I'm taking the first step (ha!) into movement with September Steps. Most step goals reset every day. Miss a day and a ring stays open, a streak resets, and it feels like failure. September Steps works differently. You have one goal for the entire month.
You set a number: the total steps you will walk or run in September. A meeting-filled Tuesday where you barely move doesn't break anything. The long Sunday hike makes up for it. Every step counts: the walk after dinner, the commute, the weekend run, the pacing about while your agent works.
There's nothing to log. Hobbes reads your steps from Apple Health or Google Health Connect. If your watch, band, or ring already syncs there, you're done.

Along the way you'll pass milestones. About 55,590 steps is a full marathon. 131,740 takes you to the Kármán line, the edge of space. 451,560 is London to Paris.
My personal goal is to walk 240,000 steps in September, almost the length of the Suez Canal. Your progress is yours alone; nobody else sees it. Set a number you'd be proud to hit.
Hobbes started with helping you eat better. Movement feels like the right place to go next.
September Steps is in the latest version of Hobbes on the App Store and the Play Store.
